Prehistoric Adventure

Piilijärvi – a refuge
The name Piilijärvi is derived from the Finnish word piilo, meaning hiding-place. Here, in the 17th century, local people sought refuge from tax collectors and census registration.
Even today Piilijärvi is a welcoming refuge from the hustle and bustle of urban life. A peaceful, tranquil place where the silence is broken only by Nature’s own songs and whispers.
